Sewer Districts Board To Meet

The administrative board of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at the water pollution control facility.

Safety Resource Fair To Be Offered Virtually

BUFFALO — The Alzheimer’s Association Western New York Chapter is planning an online safety resource fair to address security concerns, including preventing wandering by individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. 

The virtual program will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday using a digital platform that can be accessed via laptop, tablet or smartphone. It will provide information for caregivers, family members, those living with the disease, professionals and the general public to collect information and enroll in various programs and services related to wandering prevention and general safety preparedness.

Among topics to be discussed are MedicAlert + Wandering Support, ECMC Driver Evaluation Program and the Alzheimer’s Association WNY. There will also be time for question-and-answer period with representatives from those programs.

Labor Day Camping At Warren County Fairgrounds

PITTSFIELD, Pa. — The Warren County Fairgrounds in Pittsfield, Pa., will offer camping over Labor Day weekend. Check-in will start at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, and check-out will be on Monday, Sept. 6.

This will be the last chance to camp at the fair this year. Rates are all four nights for $75, or $25 per single night.

There are several campsites to choose from with water and electric hookups, restrooms with showers and a dumping station.

August BPU Meeting Rescheduled

The regular August meeting of the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities has been rescheduled to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30.

Church To Hold Chicken BBQ

FORESTVILLE — The Forestville United Methodist Church’s annual Fall Chicken BBQ will return Sunday, Sept. 12, beginning at noon and going until sold out.

The cost is $12 per meal and includes half a chicken, potato salad, lettuce salad, dinner roll and cookie.

The event will be drive-through service only. Those attending are asked to drive up in front of the church and meals will be delivered to your car.

The church is located at 3 Park St., Forestville. Anyone with questions is asked to call 965-2506.
