97 teams begin Chadwick Bay Softball Bash today

The largest single weekend softball tournament in Western New York, the Chadwick Bay Softball Bash returns to the area this weekend for its 5th annual installment. This year's edition will welcome 97 teams to the area from four states and Canada, conducted on fields across the region spanning from Dunkirk to Chautauqua Lake. 3-on-3 hoops tourney scheduled

The Lake Erie Jackals will be holding a 3-on-3 basketball tournament Aug. 14-16 in the city. The event, which will be held during the Big Pitts Community Block Party, will be played at Jackson Taylor Park on 10th and Washington streets. The tournament is open to boys and girls (grades 3-12), and men and women 18-and-older.
