North Harmony Senior Citizens Meet STOW - Thirty-three members and five guests met recently for the North Harmony Seniors' monthly dinner. The Hospitality Committee of Anita and Earl Ferry and Helen Johnson oversaw the potluck offerings. July birthdays of Barb Cheney and Linda Kesby were honored with a patriotic cake provided by Bev Butts. Moments of silence were shared after hearing of the deaths of Becky Deault and Al LaFredo. Chautauqua Lake Bridge To Close Evenings Starting Monday The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the bridge carrying Interstate 86 over Chautauqua Lake between the North Harmony and Ellery will be closed in both directions from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning on Monday, Aug. 17, until Friday, Aug. 21, and at 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, until 7 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, as part of an ongoing rehabilitation project. Vets Finding Vets To Screen ‘10 Good Men’ Saturday The Fenton History Center’s veteran’s program, Vets Finding Vets, has been accepted to host a screening of “Ten Good Men”, a World War II documentary about the B-17s, commonly referred to as Flying Fortresses. Allen Park Band Shell Concerts Continue Tonight "All Good Things" will be this week's Allen Park Concert Series theme. It is a mix of all genres of music. The free concert is at the Gorenson Bandshell in Allen Park with the Jamestown Municipal Band playing Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. The Allen Park Women's Club runs the concession stand featuring hot dogs, popcorn, penny candy and their famous homemade fudge.
