Mall To To Host Red Cross Blood Drives

LAKEWOOD – The Chautauqua Mall will host American Red Cross blood drives from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 24, and 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. May 7. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.

Catholic Bocce League Signups Are April 27

A final sign-up for Catholic League bocce will he held at 6 p.m. April 27 at St. John Church, Newton Avenue, Jamestown. Teams are still needed. For more information call Kathy at 716-499-3694.

Mayville Senior Citizens To Meet Today

MAYVILLE – The Mayville Senior Citizens will be meeting Thursday, April 23, at the Mayville VFW at noon. Those attending should bring a dish to pass. Entertainment will be the band Check 123.

Sunset Hill Cemetery Cleanup Is Saturday

LAKEWOOD – Sunset Hill Cemetery in Lakewood is seeking members of the public to help with spring clean-up activities from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 25. Sunset Hill Cemetery is located at 665 Hunt Road in Lakewood. Volunteers can rake, pick up sticks, weed and trim. Those attending are asked to bring their own tools and gloves, if possible. Club America Official To Speak At TEA Party Meeting

Michelle Erdt, high school field representative for Club America, the high school program of Turning Point USA, will be featured at the next general meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday, April 28, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. Joining her will be local club members from Jamestown High School. Also, there will be a follow-up on county consolidation and issues regarding Chautauqua Lake.

Hazeltine Library Author Series Continue Monday

BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library’s author series continues Monday, April 27, with Carrielynn Hutchinson speaking about her series of books. The discussion starts at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. “This is a first time appearance by Ms. Hutchinson,” said Katie Smith, library director. “It’s always exciting to welcome a new author to our series and I know the community will enjoy her light-hearted, down-to-earth mysteries. I look forward to meeting and introducing her to our audience. Everyone is welcome, there is no charge for the event so I hope many of our patrons will join us.” The library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti, and can be reached at 716-487-1281.
