St Luke’s Thrift Shop Open Saturday
St. Luke’s Thrift Shop, 409 Pine St., Jamestown, will be open Saturday during the Jamestown Farmer’s Market. The shop is well stocked with spring clothing for everyone. There is a large selection of high end ladies plus sized clothes. The housewares department is overloaded with pots and pans, bath towels and many other surprises. All proceeds are used locally.

CONEWANGO – The Rutledge Cemetery in Conewango will hold its spring cleanup day starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25. Those trending are asked to bring their own garden tools. All help is appreciated.

BEMUS POINT – The Bemus Point Board of Education will hold a special board meeting for the sole purpose of BOCES board member election and budget vote on Tuesday, April 28, at 4 p.m. in the Superintendent’s Office at Maple Grove Jr/Sr. High School, 3980 Dutch Hollow Road, Bemus Point. The public is welcome to attend.
JCC To Host Red Cross Blood Drive April 29
Jamestown Community College will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 29. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
Cassadaga Library Making Scrapbooks For Memory Kits
CASSADAGA – The Seymour Library Cassadaga Branch is holding an event on Wednesday, April 29, at 2 p.m. Library officials are asking local people to help fill themed scrapbooks with images of cities around the world, gardens/food preparation, celebrities or well-known people, holidays/celebrations, forms of transportation such as boats, cars, bikes, etc. The scrapbooks to our memory care kits that patrons can use at the library or check out. The scrapbooks are part of the library’s ongoing Alzheimer’s programming and support initiatives. Supplies will be provided, but if anyone would like to bring relevant media such as magazines or old cookbooks, the library can incorporate the images. For reservations, call 716-595-3822.
