According to officials, at about 11:54 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 83 in the town of Cherry Creek. A federal grand jury has returned an indictment charging Joseph Fontanez Walker, 35, of Jamestown, N.Y., with narcotics conspiracy, which carries a minimum penalty of 10 years in prison, a maximum of life, and a 10,000,000 fine. According to the indictment, between 2019 and January 2022, Fontanez Walker allegedly conspired with others to sell fentanyl and heroin in the Jamestown area. Fontanez Walker was arraigned before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy and is being held pending a detention hearing on June 8, 2026. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Paul R. Briggs, was charged June 3 with third-degree trespass. According to police, at about 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a Southside address for a reported trespass in progress. Upon arrival, police said, officers located Briggs inside the residence. Four Jamestown residents face charges after a search warrants were executed at two Jamestown apartments on Thursday. Narcotics Investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and Jamestown Police Department executed the search warrants at 220 Lincoln St., Apt. 3, and at 109 Thayer St., Apt. 2, Jamestown.
