Thule Lodge To Meet Thursday

FALCONER — Thule Lodge members will meet Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Falcon’s Nest in Falconer for the Easter dinner known as “egg sexa” meaning foods with eggs. Following the dinner will be the monthly meeting. Thule Lodge welcomes new members.

Church Thrift Shop To Reopen

St. Luke’s Thrift Shop. 409 Pine Street between East Fourth and East Fifth streets, Jamestown, will reopen Thursday with spring and summer merchandise. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Starting May 1, the thrift shop will be open on Wednesdays as well from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donations are accepted Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon or during regular business hours. Those with large donations are asked to call ahead at 664-1887. Off-street parking is available in the church parking lot off of East Fifth Street. The all-volunteer staff includes many from RSVP.

Weaver Guild To Meet Saturday

WESTFIELD — The Chautauqua County Weavers Guild will hold its next meeting Saturday at 10 a.m. at the YWCA in Westfield. The guild will begin exploring various weave structures starting with the most basic of weave structures, the plain weave. Plain weave can be done on two, four or more harnesses. Different examples will be shown and demonstrated on a loom, including hand manipulated weaves. Anyone interested in weaving is invited to attend. Antique Club Gathers Today

STOCKTON — The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will meet at 7 p.m. today at the club grounds, 4578 Cemetery Road, Stockton. All members are asked to attend.

Colleges Update Transfer Guide

Jamestown Community College and Daemen College have updated transfer agreements for several programs. Students are guaranteed their choice of a Daemen degree program upon completion of a specified parallel JCC degree. JCC students receive full junior standing upon transfer. Depending on the Daemen degree selected and JCC courses taken, students can transfer 60-90 JCC credits toward meeting bachelor’s degree requirements in accounting, business administration, health promotion, natural science, nursing, and paralegal studies. Located in Amherst, Daemen is a four-year private liberal arts college offering certificate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. An overview is available at sunyjcc.edu/transfer/agreements.

Church Hosting Rummage Sale

EAST RANDOLPH — The East Randolph United Methodist Church, 122 Church St., East Randolph, will host a rummage and bake sale Friday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to noon. All proceeds go to missions at the church.

Church To Hold Afternoon Tea

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Bishop Over Guild is having an afternoon tea to benefit the community’s food programs on May 11 from 1-3 p.m. The event is $20 per person at 405 N. Main St., Jamestown. Call 483-6405 for tickets.
