Jamestown Picks Up First Softball Victory Of Season

BEMUS POINT — Alyson Canfield had three singles and two RBIs as Jamestown got past Maple Grove 8-7 in nonleague softball action for its first win of the year Tuesday at Bemus Point Elementary School.

Kaylee Cappel added a two-rundouble for the Red & Green, while Maddie Potter walked three times, doubled and scored three times.

Cappel also picked up the win in the circle as she struck out three batters and walked one.

Lydia Darr was in the circle for Maple Grove, striking out nine and walking six. Darr also scored twice, while Alex Caldwell hit two singles and scored twice.
