To Meet Today

The Jamestown Public Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. today in the board room of the district administration building, 197 Martin Road. The public is welcome to attend. The district’s proposed 2024-25 budget is among the items on the agenda.

Antique Car Club To Meet Wednesday

The CLRAACA will have its monthly general meeting on Wednesday at the War Vets Recreation Club in Fluvanna. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Those attending do not have to own an antique auto to attend – anyone with an interest in automobiles is welcome.

Mayville Senior Citizens To Meet Thursday

MAYVILLE – The Mayville Senior Citizens will meet Thursday at the Mayville VFW in Mayville. There is to be a board meeting after lunch and everyone is invited to attend. Bring a dish to pass.


Wonders To

Perform Friday

The Seven Wonders, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, is scheduled to perform Friday at 8 p.m. at The Spire Theater, 317 E. Third St. The band pays homage, and authentically recreates the songs, of Fleetwood Mac, one of the world’s best-loved, top-selling bands, including “Dreams,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Rhiannon,” “Gypsy,” and more. STOCKTON – On Sunday at 11 a.m., Dan Schall from Zelienope, Pa. will present his testimony through music at the Stockton Community Church. The public is welcome to attend.Following the special service, a pot luck luncheon will be held.

Fluvanna Library To Host Next Super Saturday Science


FLUVANNA – The Fluvanna Free Library will hold its next Super Saturday Science Family Program at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Each month the library presents a program with its roots in the science or math fields. Games and activities are geared toward children aged 7 to 12 years and the adults in their lives. The April program is Earth Day, Every Day. Space is limited and registration is required by Thursday by calling 716-487-1773 or emailing info@fluvannalibrary.org. The Fluvanna Free Library is located at 3532 Fluvanna Ave.; Jamestown. The Super Saturday Science Program is free and open to the public but donations are accepted.

Harmony Senior Citizens To

Meet May 2

PANAMA – The next Harmony Senior Citizens meeting is scheduled for May 2 at noon at the Panama Methodist Church for a tureen luncheon. Those attending are asked to ring a dish to pass and their own table service. Hosts include Chuck and Debbie Barr and Donny and Gail Keller. The annual memorial service will be held following the luncheon for members who have passed away during the past two years. All area seniors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
