Rutledge Rural Cemetery

Cleanup Is

Saturday

CONEWANGO – The Rutledge Rural Cemetery will hold its cleanup day starting at 10 a.m. Saturday. The cemetery is located on Seager Hill Road, Conewango. Those participating are asked to bring leaf rakes, tarps and other tools to help get the cemetery ready for the mowing season. All help is appreciated.

CVCS Board To Hold Special Meetings April 22, April 24

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board of Education will hold two special meetings at 6 p.m. Monday and 6 p.m. Wednesday at The Front Porch Promise, 7431 Route 60, Cassadaga. Board members are expected to move into executive session to discuss matters relating to the employment histories of a particular person or persons and matters related to the hiring of a new superintendent of schools.

Chautauqua Offers Childbirth Classes

UPMC Chautauqua is offering monthly classes to prepare expecting parents for childbirth. The classes will provide an informal and relaxed setting to encourage an exchange of questions and answers about the birth experience and what to expect during a hospital stay. Participants can expect to meet team members, gain hands-on practice, understand the signs of labor, learn comfort measures and pain management options and tour the maternity unit. The classes are held on a Tuesday each month, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the auditorium on the second floor of UPMC Chautauqua, 207 Foote Ave, Jamestown. To register, visit UPMC.com/Classes. Editor To Speak To TEA Party

John D’Agostino, regional editor of The Dunkirk OBSERVER, Warren Times Observer and The Post-Journal will be the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday. April 23, at 7 p.m. at 1309 Norby Road. He will update the group on pressing local matters. Local education matters will be spotlighted at the meeting as well.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church To Host Chicken, Biscuit Dinner

FALCONER – Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Falconer will host a takeout chicken and biscuit dinner from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 25. The price will be $10 for adults and $5 for children under 6. Dinner, bread, vegetables and dessert are included. To order ahead, phone 716-665-2102. The church is located at 20 N. Phetteplace St., Falconer. The proceeds will benefit the Bethlehem Lutheran Mission Fund.
