Wetlands Public Meeting To Be Held Saturday

BEMUS POINT – A public meeting to discuss wetlands changes that may affect Chautauqua Lake will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lawson Center, Bemus Point. The meeting will be presented by Jim Wehrfritz and will include a review and analysis of implications of the 2022 New York State Wetlands Law amendment. The meeting will also be broadcast via Zoom. Blockville Cemetery To Hold Annual Meeting April 22

BLOCKVILLE – The Blockville Cemetery will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, at the Weatherbee residence, 5270 Route 474. All lot owners are encouraged to attend. Election of officers and trustees will be held and contracting for cemetery maintenance will be discussed.

April 28 Chicken Barbecue To Benefit South Dayton Youth Baseball

SOUTH DAYTON – A benefit chicken barbecue dinner to benefit the South Dayton Youth Baseball League will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m .Sunday, April 28, at the South Dayton American Legion. Dinners are take-out only. The cost is $15 for a regular meal, $12 for a small meal and $10 for chicken-only.

Hazeltine Library Board To Gather

BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library board will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the library. The meeting is open to the public. The library is located at 891 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Jamestown, and can be reached by calling 716-487-1281.

Blood Drive Set For April 23

MAYVILLE – The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 1 to 6 p.m. April 23 at the Lakeside Park Community Center, 50 West Lake Road, Mayville. To make an appointment or for more information, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App. visit RedCrossBlood.org. call 1-800-733-2767 or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed 1o ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 16 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Antique Equipment Association To Meet April 23

The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will hold its monthly meeting on April 23 at 7 p.m. at the Laona Church. All members are encouraged to attend.

Kiantone Cemetery Decorations Removal Date Set

KIANTONE – Kiantone Cemetery lot owners are asked to pick up their holiday decorations and any artificial arrangements leftover from the winter at the cemetery by April 30. Anything remaining will be removed by volunteers after that date.
