CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — HARMONY — Around 12:13 p.m. Friday, the Panama Fire Department and several mutual aid departments responded to 1161 Hoag Road for a residential structure. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct a cause and origin fire investigation. Investigation found that the fire started along an exterior garage wall due to discarded ash from a wood stove. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Lisa Gaiser, 47, of Jamestown was charged Jan. 29 with resisting arrest, and having multiple arrest warrants. According to police, at about 3 a.m., officers conducted a warrant search at a westside residence. Officers made contact with Gaiser, who had several arrest warrants from JPD. Officers spoke with Gaiser through her door and window, and she was informed she was under arrest. Gaiser allegedly refused to cooperate with officers’ commands, and would not open the door. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Brandon J. Whitmore, 41, of Jamestown was charged Jan. 25 with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and other traffic violations. According to police, at about 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in the snow at Falconer and Cowing streets. Upon further investigation, it was found that Whitmore allegedly was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Josniel Morales, 23, of Jamestown, was charged Jan. 25 with four counts of second-degree criminal contempt, and having outstanding arrest warrants. According to police, at about 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a Southside address to conduct a warrant check. Upon arrival, officers were aware of an order of protection between the involved people. Police said the protected person gave permission to officers to enter the residence. Jamestown Man Charged In Sex Crimes With Children An 18-year-old Jamestown man is facing numerous charges for multiple sex crimes with children. On Friday, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation stationed at the State Police at Jamestown charged Benjamin A. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Roberto Figueroa, 44, was charged Jan. 18, with third-degree assault. According to police, at about 12:40 p.m., officers responded to a westside address for a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers located Figueroa attempting to get into a vehicle. It was discovered that he allegedly punched a female victim on her back, causing injury. Figueroa was placed into custody, and was taken to Jamestown City Jail.
