CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– Harry L. Clayton II, 63, of North Benton, Ohio, was charged April 24 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and backing unsafely. According to officials, at about 8:08 p.m., deputies responded to a business in the town of Ripley for a report of a property damage accident between two semi-trucks. While conducting an investigation, it was determined that Clayton, an operator of one of the semi-trucks, allegedly was intoxicated while operating his vehicle. Clayton was placed into custody on scene, and transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was later released with appearance tickets, will be Ripley Town Court later.
– Kyle J. Perry, 32, of the town of Dunkirk, was charged April 29 with petit larceny, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. According to officials, at about 8:15 p.m., deputies responded to a reported shoplifting incident at Home Depot, 3901 Vineyard Drive, in the town of Dunkirk. Following an investigation, deputies determined that Perry allegedly had taken merchandise from the store without paying and was later found in possession of the items. He was placed into custody and transported to the Pomfret Substation for processing. Perry will be in Dunkirk Town Court later.
