JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Bruce J. Miles, 37, was charged Jan. 22 with second-degree harassment. According to police, at about 12:04 a.m., officers responded to a Northside residence for a harassment complaint. Upon arrival, officers were made aware that Miles allegedly made threats to harm a victim at the residence, and threw a lighter at the victim. Miles was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Joshua M. Ross, 37, of Jamestown, was charged Jan. 20 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 7:43 a.m., officers responded to a Northside business for a reported shoplifting incident. Police said store staff reported that a male suspect allegedly had taken two steaks without paying. Officers located Ross a short distance away from the business, and was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. Ross will be in Jamestown City Court later. - Alivia M. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT - Mathew J. Dinger, 37, was charged Jan. 17 with second-degree criminal trespass. According to officials, at about 1:50 p.m. deputies responded to an address in the town of North Harmony for reports of a trespass. Through investigation it was discovered Dinger was allegedly using the utilities inside of an apartment that he is not authorized to be in. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Robert F. McLoud, 29, of Jamestown, was charged Thursday with resisting arrest, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and having an outstanding Jamestown City Court warrant. According to police, at about 1:45 p.m., officers were on patrol in the area of Forest Avenue, and Washington Street when they observed McLoud, who had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in city court. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - William Soto, 60, was charged Jan. 15 with driving while intoxicated, and multiple traffic citations. According to police, at about 1:40 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Buffalo Street at Blackstone Avenue for a traffic infraction. Upon further investigation, it was found that Soto allegedly was operating the motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He was placed in custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — Sarah J. Bell, 45, of Sheridan, was charged Wednesday with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and no stopping/standing/parking on a public road. According to officials, at around 12:12 a.m., deputies responded to a call to check the wellbeing of a motorist in the town of Sheridan.
