City Man Sentenced In Drug Distribution Case

A Jamestown man has been sentenced to time served for selling and distributing drugs. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that James Brandow, 37, who was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, heroin and fentanyl, was sentenced to time served — more than three years — by Senior U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, who handled the case, stated that between July 2020, and June 2021, Brandow conspired with others to sell heroin and fentanyl. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT - Mahlon Coblentz, 22, of Stockton, was charged Dec. 16 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, making an unsafe lane change, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. According to officials, at about 11:31 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident in the town of Stockton. The operator was identified as Coblentz. Through investigation it was determined that Mahlon was allegedly operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Kevin L. Bellardo, 53, was charged Dec. 16 with first-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 3:48 a.m., officers observed Bellardo walking on the west side with a woman who had an active order of protection against Bellardo. Bellardo was placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later. - Nathan J. Missing Frewsburg Girl Found

A 14-year-old Frewsburg girl has been found. According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, Mhyah Goon was located safely on Warren Road, Frewsburg on Dec. 15. Deputies said Goon was last seen Nov. 16, at about 9 p.m. walking on Riverside Road in Frewsburg. Goon left home without notice and did not have her phone. Deputies said Goon has run away from home in the past for extended periods of time.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Georgeanna Ribbing, 49, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood flow and endangering the welfare of a child. At 12:20 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a southside address for a reported physical domestic. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a 15-year-old victim who had minor visible injuries from a physical altercation with the mother, Ribbing. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — Jaxon V. McCloskey, 18, of the town of Portland, was charged Dec. 7 with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated, and DWI per se. According to officials, at about 4:16 a.m. deputies responded to Pullman Road in the Village of Brocton for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Through investigation, it was determined that McCloskey allegedly was driving while intoxicated. He was placed in custody and transported to the Pomfret substation for processing.
