Stockton Man Charged After Fire A Stockton man is facing charges after a fire on Dec. 11. Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department Deputies have charged Keith J. Carlson, 38, of Stockton with second-degree attempted arson. According to officials, at about 9:24 a.m., deputies, and troopers from the New York State Police Fredonia barracks responded to an address on Cassadaga Stockton Road in the town of Stockton for a report of an altercation. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT - Justin J. Nickerson, 21, of Kennedy was charged Dec. 7 with second-degree burglary, and second-degree criminal contempt. According to officials, at about 2:30 p.m., deputies responded to an address in Kennedy for a possible order of protection violation. Upon arrival deputies located Nickerson at the address. There is a valid order of protection in place stating Nickerson is to stay away from the address. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — Around 1:20 a.m. Sunday, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the village of Fredonia for an alleged traffic violation. The operator was identified as Andrew E. Allenson, 21, of Fredonia and through an investigation was found to be driving while intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content at a 0.18% or higher. He was charged with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, DWI and aggravated DWI. He was placed in custody and transported to the Sheriff's Office substation where he was later released with tickets.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — ARKWRIGHT — Around 7:59 p.m. Thursday, deputies were made aware of an in progress order of protection violation. Through an investigation it was determined that Dakota S. Sugg, 30, of Dunkirk was actively violating a full stay away order of protection when he made numerous phone calls to the protected party in the presence of the deputies. Deputies were able to locate Sugg a short time later and while placing him into custody had located a small quantity of crack cocaine on his person. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Mark R. Burch Jr., 32, of Jamestown, was charged Dec. 2 with having an outstanding Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office warrant, having and outstanding Jamestown Police Department warrant, and resisting arrest. According to police, officers were on patrol in the Broadhead Avenue area when they observed Burch. Police said officers attempted to apprehend Burch, but he allegedly ignored commands to stop, and led officers on a foot pursuit before being caught. He was placed into custody. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Matthew L. Brown, 27, of Jamestown, was charged Dec. 1 with second-degree criminal contempt, and petit larceny. According to police, at about 12:15 p.m., officers responded to a southside address for a reported larceny and order of protection violation. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that Brown allegedly stole a speaker from her and violated an order of protection.
