Area Police Reports
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Charles Dean, 27, of Jamestown, was charged Monday with third-degree assault. According to police, at about 4 p.m., officers responded to the area of East Sixth and Winsor streets for a reported fight. Upon investigation, it was determined that Dean engaged in a physical altercation with the victim by allegedly forcibly removing him from his vehicle. Dean then proceeded to allegedly strike the victim multiple times in the face with a closed fist. Dean was located nearby and placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Kevin Lopez, 31, of Jamestown, second-degree menacing, third-degree criminal tampering, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to police, at about 8:02 p.m. Monday, officers were dispatched to a report of a disorderly person. Through investigation, it was found that Lopez allegedly threw frying grease in the kitchen and on the floors. He also allegedly did threaten the victim with a dangerous instrument. Lopez was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– Scott Sarver, 58, of Ashville, was charged April 9 with driving while intoxicated, and DWI per se. According to officials, at about 10:38 p.m., deputies responded to a trespassing call in the town of Harmony. After an investigation, Sarver was arrested and released. Sarver will be in Harmony Town Court at a later date.
