Area Police Reports

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Kiara C. Slaughter, 25, of Jamestown, was charged April 26 with driving while intoxicated, and aggravated DWI per se. According to police, at about 1:53 a.m., officers were patrolling in the area of Fulton and East Sixth streets, and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for observed traffic infractions. Through investigation it was found that Slaughter allegedly was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. She was placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. Slaughter will be in Jamestown City Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Douglas E. Martin, 62, of Busti, was charged April 26 with two counts of criminal contempt. According to police, at about 3:30 a.m., officers responded to Lawson Road for a reported domestic dispute. Through investigation it was found that Martin allegedly had head-butted the victim, and violated an order of protection. Martin was placed into custody, taken to LBPD for processing, and then taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Martin will be in Busti Town Court later.

TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Stephanie K. Derby, 45, of no current permanent address, was charged April 21 with petit larceny. According to police, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint, where it is alleged Derby took items without paying that belonged to Crosby’s. Derby was issued an appearance ticket, and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Nathan Nowicki, 29, of Jamestown was charged April 23 with second-degree criminal trespass. According to police, officers responded to an unwanted person complaint at a residence in Falconer, where it is alleged that Nowicki unlawfully entered the victim’s residence and refused to leave. Nowicki was placed into custody at the incident location, and later taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Nowicki will be the town court later.

– Mark B. Ceci, 38, of Jamestown was charged April 24 with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and resisting arrest. According to police, at about 10:30 a.m. officers responded to a suspicious situation with two minor children near the road unattended by traffic, on Route 60, where it is alleged Ceci left the children unsupervised and Ceci was inside of the home. Ceci then allegedly resisted arrest when officers were placing him into custody. Ceci was issued an appearance ticket and will be in town court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERRIF’S OFFICE

– David P. Johnson, 56, of Erie, was charged April 23 with DWI, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign, passed stop vehicle at an intersection, improper passing, driving left of pavement markings, failure to keep right, operating with no front/rear bumper, and an unregistered motor vehicle. According to officials, at about 3:27 p.m., deputies along with New York State Police were dispatched to a leaving the scene of an incident on Main Street in Forestville. The vehicle was located by deputies, and the operator was identified as Johnson. Upon further investigation Johnson allegedly was found to be driving while ability impaired by alcohol. Johnson was placed into custody, and taken to the Hanover Substation where he was issued appearance tickets. He will be in Hanover Town Court later.
