JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Daniel J. Pfaffenbach, 45, was charged Wednesday with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to police, at about 11:58 p.m., officers were patrolling in the area of Windsor and Harrison streets, and after an observed traffic violation by a passing motor vehicle, a traffic stop was conducted. Pfaffenbach was identified as the operator, and through investigation it was found that he allegedly had 34 suspensions on 11 dates on his New York State driver’s license. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Crystal A. Finstad, 23, of Jamestown, was charged Feb. 17 with third-degree assault, and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. According to police, at about 4:18 p.m., JPD officers and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department Deputies were working a Statewide Targeted Intimate Partner Initiative (STRIVE) detail in the city when they responded to an Eastside address for a report of a physical domestic incident. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Brandon L. Calkins, 39, of Jamestown was charged Feb. 14 with second-degree harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 2:04 p.m., officers responded to a southside residence for a report of a domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the female victim outside of the residence. Following an investigation, it was determined that Calkins had been involved in a verbal dispute with the victim that escalated into a physical altercation. Bognar, 45, was charged Feb. 6 with driving while intoxicated, refusing to take a breath test, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, and speeding. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Debra K. Leeper, 58, of Jamestown was charged Feb. 12 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 1:59 a.m., officers responded to a shoplifting incident at a Northside business. Upon arrival, officers were informed that Leeper allegedly had stolen two bags of cat treats. Leeper fled the scene in a vehicle, and a short time later, the vehicle was located, and Leeper was placed into custody without incident. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT - Brooke Rasumus Gilbert, 33, of Dunkirk, was charged Feb. 9 with third-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to officials, around 5:43 p.m. deputies responded to a fight at Mechanic Street and Central Avenue in the Village of Silver Creek. Upon arrival and through investigation, it was determined that Gilbert allegedly punched another person in the face causing physical injury, and which broke the victim’s glasses.
