JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Taylor M. Crofoot, 22, of Jamestown was charged April 26 with driving while intoxicated, speeding, and no/insufficient tail lamps. According to police, at about 1:30 a.m., officers were on patrol in the downtown area, near Spring and Fourth streets, when they observed a vehicle with no tail lights on, traveling at a high rate of speed. Officers, police said, stopped the vehicle, and determined that the operator, Crofoot, allegedly was driving while intoxicated. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Kenneth D. Lamb III, 38, of Jamestown, and Taylor L. Lane, 25, of Jamestown were both charged April 22 with third-degree criminal trespass. According to police, at about 8:42 a.m., officers responded to a Northside address for a reported trespass complaint. Upon arrival, officers located Lamb, and Lane allegedly sleeping on the floor of a condemned apartment. Both were placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT - Michael L. Johnson, 28 , of Jamestown was charged April 16 with petit larceny. According to police, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint where it is alleged Johnson took items owned by Crosby’s in Falconer. He was issued an appearance ticket and will be in Ellicott Town Court later. - Jason R. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Joseph M. Grekalski, 41, of Jamestown, was charged April 19 with driving while intoxicated. According to police, at about 4 p.m., officers received a well being check call at a westside building complex. It was reported, police said, that there was an intoxicated male who had knocked on several apartment doors. Police said while walking away, the man was staggering his steps while getting into his vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found Grekalski behind the wheel of a running vehicle. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Justin A Conklin, 27, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and outstanding warrants. At 10:38 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a Northside address for an unwanted male. Officers located Conklin walking out of the rear entrance of the home. He has a Stay Away Order of Protection for him to stay away from the victim and their property. POMFRET — An investigation into narcotics activity in Pomfret has led to the arrest of a Dunkirk man. A search warrant was executed at 9:44 a.m. Tuesday by narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department at 5341 Van Buren Road. Located inside the residence at the time of the search was Andrew S. Betts, 43.
