Messere Jr., 30, of Celoron was charged Jan. 4 with fourth-degree grand larceny, first-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving, failure to comply, and being an unlicensed operator. According to police, at about 1 p.m., officers responded to a report of an unwanted person on the west side of Jamestown. Man charged after striking shoveler with weapon A 55-year-old man is facing a number of charges after an incident with a weapon on New Year’s Eve. Dunkirk Police report Jerry J. Small was charged with third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree menacing, trespass and second-degree harassment. State Police Probing Possible Shooting COLLINS --- At approximately 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, Troopers out of the Collins barracks responded to a possible shooting incident at 3625 Edgewood Drive. A preliminary investigation is still ongoing and the State Police Special Operations Response Team, Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office are on scene. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Deven J. Colburn, 29, of Jamestown, was charged with having an active felony warrant and resisting arrest. Around 5:10 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on the east side of the city. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — SILVER CREEK — A village resident is facing charges after a domestic incident Wednesday. At around 3:56 p.m., members of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office as well as the New York State Police were dispatched to an address. After investigation it was found that Joseph R. Miller III, 25, did intentionally cause physical injury to another person when he did punch another male in the residence in the face causing injury.
