JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Andrew J. Cowan, 33, of Jamestown, was charged May 12 with driving while intoxicated. According to police, at about 11:39 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Washington and 14th streets, for an observed traffic violation. During the investigation, police said, it was determined that the driver, Cowan, allegedly was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Cowan was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He was released and will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Courtney M. Mason, 32, of Frewsburg, was charged May 16 with aggravated DWI, DWI per se, and other traffic violations. According to police, at about 2:15 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Foote Avenue and Bush Place. Further investigation revealed that Mason allegedly was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Mason was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. She was released and will be in city court later.

– Thomas C. Matjoulis, 52, of Ashville, was charged May 18 with DWI. According to police, at about 12:32 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at West Eighth and Jefferson streets for an observed traffic violation. During the investigation, it was determined that Matjoulis allegedly was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Matjoulis was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. He was released, and will be in city court later.
