CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— SHERMAN — At 10:40 a.m. Saturday, deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office followed up on a person with a weapon complaint that occurred on May 11 in the village. Through an investigation it was determined that Ronald Reed, 66, of Sherman was found to have threatened an individual during a verbal altercation. Reed was issued an appearance ticket for aggravated harassment and will answer for his charge at Mina town court later.
— At 1:26 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the town of Pomfret for a reported incident. After an investigation, it was determined that 22-year-old Robert S. Blakemore, of Fredonia, engaged in a physical altercation with another and was subsequently taken into custody.
He was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree harassment. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing. Blakemore was later turned over to the Chautauqua County Jail to participate in the Centralized Arraignment Program and will be in the Town of Pomfret court later.
— SHERMAN — At 12:34 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Hart Street in the village. The operator was identified as Julia A. Morris, 40, of Corry. Further investigation found Morris to be driving while intoxicated. Morris was charged with DWI, DWI per se, Speed in Zone, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. She will answer charges in town court.
— BROCTON — The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office received a trespass complaint on Highland Avenue. Through an investigation James D. Mawhir, 36, of Westfield was identified as the subject involved and who was already in custody at the Sheriff’s Office for an uninvolved incident. Mawhir was charged with trespass and will be in the Town of Portland court later.
— SHERMAN — Around 12:16 a.m. Saturday, deputies stopped a vehicle in the Village of Sherman for a traffic violation. The vehicle was being operated by Tiara R. Gibble, 40, of North East, Pa., and through investigation it was determined that she was driving while intoxicated. She was taken to the Sheriff’s Officer where she was later released with tickets.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Taylor M. Bentley, 24, was charged with third-degree criminal trespass on Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 1:35 p.m., officers responded to an address on Cross Street for a 911 call regarding a female inside a residence. Upon arrival and further investigation, officers determined the residence had been condemned. During the investigation, Bentley was observed exiting the residence through a side window. Bentley was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
CARROLL POLICE DEPARTMENT
— CARROLL — At approximately 4:50 p.m. Thursday, the town of Carroll Police Department was dispatched to the Ethan Allen factory building on 36 Railroad Ave for a report of a burglary in progress.
Following an investigation, it was determined that James Wall, 45, committed the offense of third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief, petit larceny and possession of burglar’s tools. Wall was taken into custody and transported to the Town of Carroll Police Department for processing. He was later transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for the Centralized Arraignment Program.
