JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Joseph M. Grekalski, 41, of Jamestown, was charged April 19 with driving while intoxicated. According to police, at about 4 p.m., officers received a well being check call at a westside building complex. It was reported, police said, that there was an intoxicated male who had knocked on several apartment doors. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT — Justin A Conklin, 27, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and outstanding warrants. At 10:38 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a Northside address for an unwanted male. Officers located Conklin walking out of the rear entrance of the home. He has a Stay Away Order of Protection for him to stay away from the victim and their property. Dunkirk Man Charged In Narcotics Probe

POMFRET — An investigation into narcotics activity in Pomfret has led to the arrest of a Dunkirk man. A search warrant was executed at 9:44 a.m. Tuesday by narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department at 5341 Van Buren Road. Located inside the residence at the time of the search was Andrew S. Betts, 43. Rodriguez, 36, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with felony driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and unlicensed operator. According to police, at about 11:12 p.m., officers responded to a downtown business for a property damage accident that had just occurred. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Charles Dean, 27, of Jamestown, was charged Monday with third-degree assault. According to police, at about 4 p.m., officers responded to the area of East Sixth and Winsor streets for a reported fight. Upon investigation, it was determined that Dean engaged in a physical altercation with the victim by allegedly forcibly removing him from his vehicle. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Vanessa R. Stevens, 35, of Jamestown was charged April 12 with second-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 11:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Northside address for a report of an unwanted person, and an order of protection violation. Upon arrival, officers discovered Stevens inside the victim’s residence. Further investigation confirmed that Stevens had an active order of protection against her to stay away from the victim, and the victim’s residence.
