JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Police arrested Katelin DiDomenico, 23, of Jamestown, on Saturday after officers conducted a traffic stop outside of a westside residence around 9:30 p.m. Officers found that DiDomenico had been operating her vehicle under the influence of drugs with a child passenger in the vehicle. She attempted to conceal drugs on her person and was found to be in possession of five different controlled substances and a small amount of marijuana. Police took her into custody and transported her to the city jail where she waited arraignment on charges of five counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, a Leandra’s Law felony for driving while ability impaired, aggravated unlicensed operator in the first degree and numerous vehicle and traffic law infractions.

¯ Police arrested an 18-year-old man Friday night after responding to a report of domestic dispute. Police found that the man had damaged property at an English Street address and fled the scene and had an order of protection to stay away from the residence. Police located the man a short distance away and took him into custody without incident on charges of criminal mischief and contempt.

¯ Police arrested Abraham Rosenberg, 70, of Jamestown, after responding to property damage of a motor vehicle at the intersection of Foote Avenue and Allen Street. Officers determined that Rosenberg had side-swiped a vehicle as he was attempting to move into the turning lane. Rosenberg failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for driving while ability impaired. After a review of his driving history, police found that Rosenberg had been previously convicted of driving while intoxicated on Oct. 10, 2017, making his recent charge into a felony. He was processed and released to appear at a later date.

¯ Police arrested Cameo L. Stockwell, 39, of Jamestown on Thursday after responding to 823 Newland Ave. for a reported domestic dispute. After being summoned in by one of the parties through a second-floor window, Stockwell attempted to stop officers from entering by closing and locking the exterior screen door. When officers attempted to unlock and open the door, Stockwell struck a police officer on scene and made attempts to shut the door and prevent the officers from entering the home. Officers removed her from the residence and took her into custody where they charged her with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and second-degree harassment. Police released Stockwell from custody on an appearance ticket.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

¯ POLAND — A late-night altercation has led to a trifecta of charges for a Kennedy man. Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report that after 11:30 p.m. Friday, they were dispatched to a residence. It is alleged that Steve A Michael Jr., 39, got into an altercation with another subject at the residence. During the altercation Michael did damage property to the same individual at the location. The altercation resulted in Steve A Michael being charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. He was taken to Chautauqua County Jail pending centralized arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ A state trooper was injured Saturday morning in accident on Interstate 190 in the city of Buffalo. State Police report at approximately 5:40 a.m. a serious personal injury crash involving a State Police patrol car that occurred on the northbound lanes. A preliminary investigation determined that the State Trooper was parked on the shoulder, investigating an unrelated accident, at mile marker 7.6. The Trooper was awaiting a tow for a Budget rental truck when the Dodge Charger patrol car was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Tahoe. The collision caused the troop car to be pushed into the rental truck. The Trooper was transported to Erie County Medical Center for serious, non-threatening injuries. The two occupants of the Chevy Tahoe were also transported to ECMC for minor injuries. Troop A BCI and Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) responded to the scene to assist. The names are being withheld at this time as the investigation continues. More information will be released when possible.
