JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Briana A. Winslow, 36, of Jamestown, was charged May 5 with second-degree harassment, and first-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 10:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a southside address. Upon investigation, it was determined that Winslow, allegedly struck the victim, and spit in the victim’s face. Officers, police said, also discovered that Winslow had several active bench warrants issued by Jamestown City Court, and the victim had an active order of protection against Winslow. She was placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. Winslow will be in city court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Maria K. Sams, 32, of Jamestown, was charged May 5 with petit larceny, and Trista R. Hammond, 24, of Jamestown, also was charged May 5 with petit larceny, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 5:08 p.m., officers responded to Wal-Mart, 350 E. Fairmount Ave., for an in-progress shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers located Sams and Hammond who were allegedly opening food items and eating the food items while shopping. Both women, police said, were leaving their wrappers throughout the store while in the presence of three young children. Both will be in Busti Town Court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– Hayley M. Current, 32, of Fredonia, was charged May 3 with second-degree harassment. According to officials, at about 4:35 p.m., deputies responded to a Mayville address for a reported altercation between two people. Through investigation, it was discovered that Current was the suspect in the matter, officials said. Current was later located, and placed into custody, and taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized processing. She will be in Chautauqua Town Court later.
