JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Devonte D Hampton, 33, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle early Sunday.
At about 1:18 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the North side of Jamestown. Through an investigation, officers determined that Devonte Hampton was operating the vehicle with a suspended license and violating an order of protection. He was being held pending his arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— ELLINGTON — At approximately 6:19 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to an address in the town for a report of a reported burglary in progress. Following an investigation, it was determined that Toni Long, 36, of Gerry, Robert Johnston, 34, of Ellington, and Nathan Siracuse, 40, of Gerry, committed the offenses of third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, possession of burglar’s tools, attempted petit larceny and petit larceny. All three were taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for the Centralized Arraignment Program.
— Around 2 a.m. Sunday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Eagle Street in the village of Fredonia. The operator was identified as Amanda Maynard, 40, of Angola. Further investigation found Maynard to be driving while intoxicated. She was charged with DWI and failing to stop at a stop sign. She will answer charges in the village court.
— SHERIDAN — At around 11:23 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20. The operator was identified as Matthew P. Rozewicz, 33, of Forestville. Further investigation found Rozewicz to be driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and speed in zone. He will answer his charges in the town court.
