JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Josean D. Martinez, 34, of Jamestown, was charged May 6 with aggravated criminal contempt, second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a past-tense domestic incident. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Martinez allegedly had entered the victim’s residence by kicking in a side door, damaging property, and engaging in a physical altercation. Martinez was located at a nearby residence, and was placed into custody without further incident. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail, and will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Shalena S. Freeman, of Jamestown, was charged May 6 with endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest, and having outstanding felony warrants. According to police, at about 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a Southside residence for a report of an unsupervised child in the neighborhood. Through investigation, officers determined that Freeman was the adult allegedly responsible for the child. The child was uninjured, and picked up by a family member. Freeman was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. She will be in city court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Jaydon D. Work, was charged May 4with endangering the welfare of an incompetent adult. According to police, at about 7:52 p.m., officers were called to The Resource Center, 888 Hunt Road, for a report regarding the abuse of a resident. LBPD was informed by a witness that Work was seen allegedly acting in a manner that was detrimental to the mental and physical well-being of a resident that was under his care. Police said on May 6, Work turned himself in at LBPD. He will be in Busti Town Court later.
