Class Of 1977 Set To Celebrate 45 Year Reunion

The Southwestern High School Class of 1977 reunion committee is announcing the cancellation of its 45-year reunion. The even was scheduled for Aug. 27 at Webb’s Captains Table, however due to the low number of reservations received, the committee has decided to cancel the event this year. Jamestown Launched New Webpage

The city of Jamestown has launched a new webpage — www.jamestownny.gov/rescuegrants — for homeowners and businesses to search for American Rescue Plan Act grant applications. The site includes the Senior Citizen Home Improvement Incentive (SCHII) Program, which launched Friday for senior homeowners. The information lists program eligibility requirements, due dates, program descriptions, the amount each applicant is eligible for, and links to full applications. While some of the listed grants are closed, they will remain on the list in the event any grant programs are re-funded by the City Council. For more information, residents can call the Mayor’s Office at 716-483-7600 or email mayor@jamestownny.gov.

Class Of 1963 Annual Picnic Announced

Jamestown High School Class of 1963’s annual picnic will be held Aug. 20 at Viking Park on Chautauqua Lake. Those who plan on attending need to RSVP by Aug. 10 by calling Jackie Jackson at 716-354-2106 or Sandy Stewart at 716-484-5535.

Randolph School Board Meets Aug. 3

Church To Host Bible School

LAKEWOOD — Lakewood United Methodist Church, 164 Shadyside Ave., Lakewood, will host vacation Bible school for UPK through sixth grade students from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 1-4. Dinner will be provided. Activities will include music, crafts, lessons and group recreation.
