True Value Sets Grand Re-Opening

Everydays True Value at 797 Foote Ave.

Mike Laurin tries to make his customers’ experiences easier.

And being the owner of Everydays True Value, 797 Foote Ave., he has renovated and improved the store for his customers.

“This past January and February, we did a full store reset in the main hardware store. We recently expanded our aisles and added over 6,000 new hardware items to our shelves. This will ensure product assortments align with in-demand items and provide us the capacity to stock the full line of products you need to complete your projects,” Laurin said.

On Saturday, Laurin is holding a grand re-opening from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“In an age of retail chains and big boxes, Everydays understands that retail customers still value quality products, exceptional service, and expert advice. This is the foundation of our business,” Laurin said. “On behalf of myself and my team, I would like to thank our customers, past owners and staff, and the True Value Company, for all your support. Please join us on Saturday April 27 for our grand re-opening. It will be a fun day filled with product demonstrations, prizes, and food.”

Aside from hardware, Laurin said his rental business and repair shop tend to get busy during the spring.

“We do a lot with the rental department – backhoes, excavators, skid steers, and a lot of lawn and garden items,” he said.

His repair shop is for Husqvarna and Stihl products, but services other small engine, and lawn and garden products as well.

“One of our core values at Everydays True Value is to treat our customers and coworkers as family; it is that relationship that led me to purchase Everydays on Sept. 27, 2021,” Laurin said.

On Oct. 20, 1998, Laurin began as a part time employee at the store. He continued working at Everydays after graduating from Jamestown High School in 1998, from Jamestown Community College in 2000 and Buffalo State College in 2004.

“Over the last 24 years, I have come to know both customers and coworkers very well and have always enjoyed working with them.

Many area residents remember a hardware store at this address and several people still refer to this as Southside Hardware or Green Brothers Hardware. It is an honor to continue this business,” Laurin added.

He said the mission of Everydays is to provide superior customer service; offer excellent products at reasonable prices; and employ trained staff who offer valuable advice in a friendly manner.

“It is this mission that fosters relationships with our customers and drives us to be the best hardware store in town.

Over the past year we have been honored to be selected as the Retailer of the Year by the Jamestown Community Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, we are a finalist in the countywide Post-Journal’s Best Hardware store category. We appreciate the community support and votes,” Laurin said.

Laurin added True Value is celebrating 70 years of working with independent hardware retailers and is one of the world’s leading hardware wholesalers with a globally recognized brand in over 60 countries.

“Our store offers a variety of services and products that meet the needs of our customers. As the area’s newest full-service Stihl dealership, we now have an unsurpassed assortment of outdoor power equipment, supported by our team of skilled technicians,” Laurin said.
