Fire Aux To Meet Tuesday

BUSTI — Members of the Busti Fire Department Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The auxiliary will be discussing upcoming events and planning the Memorial Day breakfast following the parade and Strawberry Social.

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Board of Health will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the HRC Building, B-14, basement level conference room, 7 N. Erie St., Mayville. Comments received from the public will be accepted as communications, and not read during privilege of the floor. Public comments at the meetings during the privilege of the floor must be made in person. Chicken BBQ On Sunday

The Sinclairville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 will be hosting its chicken barbecue on Sunday from noon until sold out. The full meal consists of a half-chicken, scalloped potatoes, applesauce, pickle, roll and cookie for $12. Chicken half alone is available for $8. The Bell Jar is also available. A bake sale to benefit the 76ers group will be in the truck room. Parking is in the rear of the fire hall.

Kennedy Free Library To Host Author Isaiah Rashad II

KENNEDY — The Kennedy Free Library is will host author Isaiah Rashad II to present his book, “Homicide of a Rat.” Rashad will discuss his book from 6 to 8 p.m May 26. FREWSBURG — A five-hour pre-licensing driving course will be offered at Frewsburg High School from 5-10 p.m. Thursday, June 9. The cost is $25. Preregister by emailing rhair@frewsburgcsd.org or calling 716-569-7026 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. When calling, have a permit on hand.
