United Senior Council To Meet

STOW — The United Senior Council of Chautauqua County will have its next meeting on Thursday at the North Harmony Senior Center in Stow. The meeting will include the group’s annual trivia contest that will begin promptly at 1 p.m. Registration is at 12:30 p.m. Dennis Webster from Media One will be the moderator. There will be prizes for the first, second and third place winners. Refreshments will be provided. All seniors from Chautauqua County are welcome to attend the monthly meetings. Quilters Guild To Meet May 14

WESTFIELD — This month’s Westfield Quilters’ Guild meeting will be Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church, 49 S. Portage St., basement level in the dining hall at 10 a.m. The May program is a trunk show by The Little Fabric Garden from Bradford, Pa. For those who have signed up, the class after lunch will be on featherweight maintenance, presented by Kathy Farra, the Featherweight Lady. Open sew is now held at the First Presbyterian Church on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The guild has many fun things planned for the coming months. New members are always welcome.

Marco Polo Club To Host Dinner

The Marco Polo Club will be holding an in-club, sit-down, spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinners are now $11 for adults and $6 for children. Salad inclusion based on availability. Take-out dinners will be available. Drive through will not available.

CMP Chorale To Present Concert

The CMP Chorale will be presenting a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Southwestern High School auditorium. The chorale is made up of singers from Chautauqua and Warren counties, with singers ranging in ages from 16-83. It is directed by Rebecca Ryan, the artistic director of the Chautauqua Chamber Singers, and accompanied by David Horne. Joining the CMP Chorale will be “Serendipity,” a local female a cappella ensemble directed by Sue Huther, choral director at Southwestern, and the school’s Choraliers, also directed by Huther. The CMP Chorale is under the purview of Community Music Project, as well as the Chautauqua Chamber Singers and Children’s Music Studio. Humane Society To Host Event

The Chautauqua County Humane Society will hold a special adoption Pawp-Up event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Runnings, 720 Fairmount Ave., Jamestown. Visitors with military ID are eligible to have the adoption fee waived on dogs over 6 months and cats over 1 year old. Standard adoption processes still apply. Kinetic by Windstream will be giving out Kinetic Pet Packs to adopters and offering folks the opportunity to write a letter of support to troops stationed all over the globe.
