Lakewood Memorial Library Board To Meet Wednesday

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Memorial Library Board of Trustees will meet Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the library, 12 W. Summit St. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

City Planning Commission To Meet Today

County Land Bank To Meet Wednesday

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation’s monthly board meeting will take place in Mayville at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, with the option to view live via YouTube. The public is welcome to attend. A recording of the meeting will be available afterward. Monthly meetings of the land bank board are conducted to discuss business associated with the acquisition and potential sale of property by CCLBC and other official business as required. Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers To Meet Today

LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, at the Lakewood American Legion Post 1286. The speaker will be Janelle Sluga, who will be discussing Medicare plans. As previously mentioned, many members are knitting hats for children to distribute in the fall and are accepting donations of yarn skeins. Any individual interested in membership with the Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers and has reached the age of 55 is welcome to attend a meeting.

Classic Car Club To Meet Wednesday

FLUVANNA – The CLRAACA will have its monthly general meeting on Wednesday, June 17, at the War Vets Rec in Fluvanna. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Anyone with an interest in antique automobiles is welcome to attend.

Reg Lenna To Screen Project Hail Mary

The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will screen the film Project Hail Mary at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 17. Science teacher Ryland Grace wakes up on a spaceship with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge to save everything on Earth from extinction. Project Hail Mary is rated PG-13 and is 156 minutes long. Upcoming Movies at The Reg include Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada 2 (June 24 at 7 p.m.) and Hugh Jackman in the family comedy/mystery The Sheep Detectives (June 27 at 4 p.m.)

Westfield boards to discuss Comprehensive Plan

WESTFIELD – The Westfield Village Board of Trustees will meet with the Westfield Town Board on Wednesday, June 17, at 4:30 p.m. in the North Room of Eason Hall for a non-hearing work session meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the joint village and town comprehensive plan.
