Audubon To Host Give Big Event, Fundraiser Thursday
The Audubon Community Nature Center will host a fundraiser Thursday as part of the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation’s Give Big CHQ fundriasing event. Audubon’s goal is to raise $10,000 during Give Big CHQ 2026. Those who want to give can visit AudubonCNC.org/give-big to support care for the center’s trails. There are various matching gifts and bonus awards available throughout the day. A long-time nature lover is matching Audubon donations dollar-for-dollar up to $2,500 between 7:16 a.m. and 7:16 p.m. Also from 7:16 a.m. to 7:16 p.m., if Audubon receives at least 10 unique online donors, it qualifies for stretch pool dollars from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation up to $20,000. From noon to 1 p.m., up to 16 nonprofits that receive an online donation will randomly be selected to receive a $100 bonus award from Courier Capital. That means that a $10 donation translates to $20 and more. Audubon staff and volunteers will also host a fundraising event from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at The Pine Cone Creamery, 209 Pine St., Jamestown, that includes a limited-time Audubon ice cream flavor and a raffle of baskets from local organizations. Anyone who donates to ACNC through Give Big CHQ will receive a free kid’s cone
