Senior Citizens Ham Dinner On Thurs. Dec. 2

Mayville Senior Citizens will meet at noon for a ham dinner Thursday at the VFW in Mayville. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass. If Chautauqua Lake Central School is closed, the meeting is canceled as well. Wear a mask.

Construction Trades Intro Seminar Dec. 4

DUNKIRK — E2CCB Adult Education is holding a free two-hour construction trades introductory seminar on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Dunkirk Community Learning Center, 21 E. Second St. in Dunkirk. The free seminar will cover general home repair tips and tricks while providing a look into the 100-hour building trades program scheduled to begin in January. Topics covered in the building trades program include electrical, drywall, plumbing, roofing, and framing. For more information or to register for the free seminar call (716) 805-3155.

JCC Music Department

Presenting 2 Winter Concerts

The SUNY Jamestown Community College music department is presenting two winter concerts in December that are open to the public. The choir and concert band will showcase a variety of music styles during a combined performance at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Jamestown Campus student union. The event will also feature special guests The Pearl City Jazz Ensemble directed by Ralph Rasmusson. Julie Costantini directs the JCC choir, while the concert band performs under the direction of Chris Wakefield. The student union will also host Winter Jam!, featuring JCC’s rock ensembles under the direction of Bill Eckstrom at 7 p.m. on Dec. 9. The concert will also feature special guest band The Way Back. Admission is free to both concerts, which will also be streamed live on the SUNY JCC YouTube page.

Community House Offering Take-Out Meals For Pick Up

The Marvin Community House in Jamestown is offering take-out meals available for pick up between 3-4 p.m. Thursday that will include a cucumber salad, a sampling of Swedish meatballs, Korv, mashed potatoes, Limpa rye bread and rice pudding. Reservations can be made by sending an email to marvinhouse@netsync.net or calling 488-6206. Meals will be placed in the vehicle’s trunk upon arrival.

Meeting At The Watter Pollution Control Facility Dec. 1

Members of the Technical Committee of the South and Center Chautauqua Lake Sewer Districts will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at the water pollution control facility. Those wishing to join by phone are asked to call 646-558-8656 with the meeting ID 999-449-0210.
