Village Board To Host Meeting
SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Village Board will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. Friday in the Village Office, 8 Lester St., Sinclairville. The public is welcome to attend.
Bemus Point BOE To Meet
The Bemus Point Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the Maple Grove Junior-Senior High School cafeteria to adopt a resolution to file returned tax claims. The public is welcome to attend.
Falconer Grange To Meet Nov. 20
FALCONER — Ross Grange 305 will host a craft show on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall, 2001 E. Main St., Falconer. Many vendors will participate including knitting, jewelry, doll clothes and Christmas items. Ross Grange members will have lunch available for sale including homemade pies. Admission is free and the building is handicappped-accessible. Grange officials encourage following COVID-19 protocols including mask wearing and safe distancing.
Blood Drive To Be Held Monday
The Chautauqua County Department of Social Services will hold a Community Blood Bank blood drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at its Jamestown office, 110 E. Fourth St. “Our goal is to make sure there is always blood available when someone is in need,” said Erin Tighe, Community Blood Bank community relations specialist. “You may not know who gets your blood but know that each donation gives someone more time to spend with loved ones.” Community Blood Bank partners with hospitals in Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood for patients in need. History Society Hosting Pot Luck
FREWSBURG — The Carroll Historical Society will be having a pot luck dinner on Monday at 6 p.m. at its facility, 5 W. Main St. Frewsburg, behind town hall. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass, their own table service and drinks. There will be a final meeting and election of officers following the dinner. The public is welcome and admission is free.
Shopping Event Set For Dec. 4
Would you like to get a lot of your holiday shopping done in one place while at the same time helping to make the holidays brighter for underprivileged children in the area? Then plan to attend the Holiday Shopping Extravaganza on Saturday, December 4, to benefit the local Marine Toys for Tots drive.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fluvanna Community Church, 3363 Fluvanna Avenue in Jamestown.
Local crafters and vendors will be featured. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase, and a Chinese auction will be held.
Proceeds from the Holiday Shopping Extravaganza will benefit Toys for Tots. Thanks to the generosity of area residents and local businesses, the Toys for Tots drive each year is able to make the holidays merrier for thousands of Chautauqua County children. Last year, 4,365 children received gifts through the toy drive.
