Veterans Memorial Bridge Closed Overnight Thursday, Friday

The state Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the bridge carrying Interstate 86 over Chautauqua Lake between North Harmony and Ellery in Chautauqua County will be closed in both directions as part of an ongoing rehabilitation project from 9 a.m. Thursday, June 11, to 6 a.m. Friday, June 12, and from 9 p.m. Friday, June 12, until 6 a.m. Saturday, June 13. Drivers should follow the posted detour utilizing Route 394 and Route 430.

Borrello To Host Town Hall Meeting Today In Randolph

RANDOLPH – State Sen. George Borrello, R-Sunset Bay, will host a town hall meeting in Randolph on Tuesday, June 9, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Randolph Fire Company, 70 W. Main St., Randolph. Residents are encouraged to attend to ask questions, share their concerns, and hear updates on the 2026 legislative session, the recently enacted state budget, and issues affecting the local community. “New Yorkers continue to face significant challenges, from rising costs and high utility bills to concerns about the state’s long-term economic competitiveness and energy future. The recently enacted state budget and several major policy decisions made in Albany will have a direct impact on families, businesses, and local communities across our region,” Borrello said. “Town Hall meetings provide an important opportunity for residents to ask questions, share their perspectives, and engage in a constructive discussion about the issues that matter most to them. I look forward to hearing from community members and providing an update on the legislative session and recently completed state budget.” Everyone is welcome to attend the event and no registration is required.
