Veterans Day Celebration

The Herman Kent Post will be celebrating Veterans Day at 5 p.m. Thursday. There will be a program with a dinner to follow.

American Legion Hosting A

Breakfast Buffet

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood American Legion Post 1286, 174 Chautauqua Ave., Lakewood, is offering a breakfast buffet from 8-11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 14. The buffet will include 13 different items for $8, with a made-to-order three-egg omlette for $10. Children 3 and under eat for free. All area members of veterans organizations and their guests are welcome.

Development Agency Board Of Directors Meeting Nov. 16

Members of the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency board of directors will gather at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in a meeting that will be streamed live on Youtube. The public may view the meeting by visiting Youtube and searching “County of Chautauqua IDA.” Once on the webpage, viewers can click on “videos” to watch the meeting. The Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation board of directors will gather after the county IDA meeting. The meeting will also be streamed live on Youtube.

Rodeo City Senior Citizens Meet On Nov. 12

GERRY — The Rodeo City Senior Citizens will meet Friday at noon in the Gerry United Methodist Church for a luncheon and a program. The program will be on the history of Veterans Day and the history of Thanksgiving. Pastor Phil Shay and John Sipos will present the histories. All those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to share, and their own table service.

Marco Polo Club Spaghetti Dinner Held Nov. 13

The Marco Polo Club will be holding an in-club spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. If COVID vaccinated, diners need not wear masks. If unvaccinated, diners are requested to wear masks whenever they are not actively eating or drinking. Dinners are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Take-out dinners will be available but patrons must come into the club to get them. Car deliveries will not be available.

Take-Out Meals For Pick-UP

The Marvin Community House in Jamestown is offering take-out meals available for pick up between 3-4 p.m. Thursday that will include apple sauce, fruit stuffed pork roast, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots and spice cake with cream cheese frosting. Reservations can be made by sending an email to marvinhouse@netsync.net or calling 488-6206. The cost is $18 for members.
