Chicken BBQ Set For June 13

CELORON — Like many organizations, Ct. St. Gertrude No. 92, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, has been unable to carry out its monthly meetings, charitable works and fundraising activities for a long time. Now that things are cautiously beginning to return to normal, members of Ct. St. Gertrude are planning to welcome the summer season with a pick-up/drive-through chicken barbecue. It will take place from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, June 13, in the parking lot at the park in Celoron. For a $12 donation, the dinner will include a half chicken, homemade potato salad, homemade baked beans and dinner roll. Chicken will be barbecued on-site. Members request that all pre-sold dinners be picked up by 3 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling Eleanor at 485-6731. Half of the proceeds will benefit the Chautauqua County Hospice House Building Fund with the rest going toward a variety of other charities.
