Friends Of Chautauqua County Greenways To Meet June 3 At RTPI

In cooperation with the Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth, the Friends of Chautauqua County Greenways will hold a public informational meeting on June 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown. The address is 311 Curtis St. Ext., Jamestown. The meeting will provide the public with updates on trail and waterway development and maintenance projects for each of the trail user groups, along with conservation efforts throughout Chautauqua County. This will be the first of two public meetings to be held throughout the year. A second public meeting will take place in the fall with a date to be determined. “We want to thank RTPI for being such generous hosts for our spring meeting. There are incredible recreation projects happening right now in Chautauqua County,” said Jacob Bodway, CCPEG trail coordinator. “Each trail user group has exciting updates, and this event will give everyone an opportunity to see the impact that our efforts are making throughout the county. We encourage people to come to RTPI and ask questions about any of our trail user groups recent and future projects.”

Cassadaga Valley School Board To Hold Public Hearing June 10

SINCLAIRVILLE – The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board of Education will hold a public hearing and regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 5:30 p.m. in the middle/high school auditorium. The public hearing will be regarding the Smart Schools Bond Investment Plan. The public is welcome to attend.

JCC To Host Reconnect Initiative Virtual Information Session June 2

Jamestown Community College will host a virtual information session from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, to help adult learners explore opportunities to attend college tuition-free through the new State University of New York Reconnect initiative. Designed for adults ages 25 to 55, the session will provide an overview of the program, including eligibility requirements, high-demand career pathways, and the personalized support available at JCC. Attendees will also learn about flexible learning options, including online courses, and the guidance offered by faculty and staff throughout the enrollment process. Through SUNY Reconnect, eligible New York state residents can pursue associate degree programs at JCC in fields such as health care, computer technology, education, and advanced manufacturing. The program covers the cost of tuition, fees, books, and supplies for qualifying students. To be eligible for SUNY Reconnect, participants must be New York state residents between the ages of 25 and 55 at the time of enrollment, must not already hold a college degree, and must enroll in an approved associate degree program at JCC. County Planning Board To Meet June 2

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, in Room 331 at the Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. County Ag & Farmland Protection Board To Meet June 2

MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, in Room 331 of the Gerace Office Building, 3 North Erie St., Mayville. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting is also available by videoconference.
