Pantry Truck Will Be At Ashville UM

ASHVILLE — The Food Bank of Western New York Mobile Pantry Truck from Falconer will be at the Ashville United Methodist Church on Tuesday. Open hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. The truck brings fresh produce and some staple items. To receive free food, only proof of address from the following ZIP codes is required: Ashville 14710, Bemus Point 14712, Celoron 14720, Lakewood 14750, Niobe 14758, Panama 14767, Stow 14785 and anyone who lives in the town of Busti. Those receiving food are asked to wear a face mask and keep six feet of social distance while in line. The food will be pre-boxed. A volunteer will sign recipients in and take their box to their car. CVCS Budget Hearing Set

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Cassadaga Valley Central School District’s annual budget hearing will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m., followed immediately by a regular monthly meeting. The public may attend using Zoom at E2CCB-GST.zoom.us/j/98154364542.

Allegany Nature Pilgrimage To Be Held Online

The 62nd Annual Allegany Nature Pilgrimage sponsored by the Audubon Community Nature Center and held at Allegany State Park has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 restrictions. However, the event has moved to an online format for the weekend of May 28 to May 31. A lineup of more than 20 naturalists have contributed to Zoom and Youtube programs, both live and pre-recorded, to be begin Thursday and continue through Sunday. The public is invited to log on to AlleganyNaturePilgrimage.com and sign up for live Zoom presentations and view pre-recorded videos on the pilgrimage’s Youtube channel. Thursday’s keynote talk is Year Around Nature Discovery. Friday’s is River Snorkeling Adventures with the Underwater Naturalist and Saturday is Twan Leenders from the Roger Tory Peterson Institute talking about Nature in Your Backyard. On Saturday and Sunday there are choices of beginning birding, birding by ear, geology of Allegany State Park, fossils, fungi, pollinator identification, yoga, digital photography, land stewardship and the role of wildfire, how to use iNaturalist, stargazing and more. There is no cost.

SWCS Board To Meet Thursday

The Southwestern Central School Board will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. via Zoom to conduct a “Meet the Candidates” program and for the annual budget hearing. The regular meeting will follow.
