The annual George L. Barone Jr. Scholarship Fund rummage and bag sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, April 26, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the YWCA Lake Lodge, 185. E. Terrace Ave., Lakewood.

The fundraising event is open to the public and invites attendees to fill a bag with items from the rummage sale for a donation of their choice. All proceeds go into the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation scholarship established in honor of George L. Barone Jr., which is awarded annually to a local academic athlete who demonstrates outstanding achievements in both academics and sports.

The George L. Barone Jr Scholarship Fund aims to support and recognize the dedication and hard work of local student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and on the field. Donations can also be made by contacting the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation.
