Land Bank To Hold Meeting

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Land Bank will hold its monthly meeting Wednesday at 9 a.m. in room 331 at the Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. The public is welcome to attend.

Parks Committee To Meet Today

The Jamestown Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department will meet today at 5 p.m. at the city Municipal Building conference room. The public is welcome to attend.

Planning Board Sets Meeting

The Chautauqua County Planning Board will meet today at 4 p.m. at the Gerace Office Building, room 331, 3 N. Erie St., Mayville. The public is welcome to attend.

Red Cross Sets Blood Drives

American Red Cross blood drives will be held from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30 at the American Red Cross Jamestown chapter building, 325 E. Fourth St., Jamestown. The American Red Cross currently has a critical need for blood donors of all blood types – especially type O. To make an appointment, use the Red Cross Blood Donor app at redcrossblood.org/blood-donor-app.html, visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 800-733-2767. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age in most states (16 with parental consent where allowed by state law), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

Citizens Group To Convene

CASSADAGA — Citizens for a Better Cassadaga will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cassadaga Library. The Winter Festival, which will be Feb. 8 and Feb. 9 will be discussed.

Art Gallery Sets Exhibit Opening

OLEAN — The Tri-County Arts Council Art Gallery will be hosting the opening of Rock & Roll in Black and White on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Tri-County Arts Council Art Gallery, 110 W. State Street, Olean. The exhibition features paintings in black and white of iconic musicians created by Greg Souchik. The evening will include appetizers and drinks, and the opening is free and open to the public.

Seniors To Hold Meeting Friday

GERRY — The Rodeo City Senior Citizens of Gerry will gather Friday at noon for a lunch and program in the United Methodist Church. All those attending are asked to bring a dish of food to add to the menu and their own table service. The program will follow the meal.

Pre-Licensing Course Is Set

SHERMAN — The Sherman Central School District will host a five-hour pre-licensing course on Saturday, Jan. 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 761-6122 during regular school hours to register, with a valid learner’s permit on hand. The course fee is $25 and the class size is limited.
