Fenner Holds Art

Reception Today

FALCONER – Artwork from Lauren Kimball’s third, fourth and fifth grade students from Fenner Elementary School will be on display at the Falconer Public Library, 101 W. Main St. throughout the month of May. There will also be an art show reception today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the library.

Kennedy Library Hosting 200 Dinner

FALCONER – The Kennedy Free Library is hosting a 200 Dinner. All 200 tickets must be sold. Tickets are $25 for two tickets. Dinner includes a pulled pork dinner, beverages and a chance at cash and prizes. First prize is $750, second prize is $500, and third prize is $250. Other cash and prizes as well as a 50/50 will also be available. The dinner will take place at the Falconer Loyal Order of Moose, 11 S. Dow St., Falconer, on May 18. Dinner will begin at 5 p.m. and drawings will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Falconer Loyal Order of Moose or at the Kennedy Free Library. Cash, check or Paypal is accepted. Writing Coach To Speak At Hazeltine Library

BUSTI – The Hazeltine Public Library will host Kathy Carlton Willis, nationally recognized writing coach, on Monday as part of its ongoing author series. Willis holds degrees in Bible and church education and helps believers have ‘aha moments’ with the daily application of scripture. Her writings have appeared in The Christian Communicator, Victorian Homes, Christian fiction Online Magazine and others. She is well known for her Bible Study – Grin With Grace. The Hazeltine Public Library’s author series begins at 6:30 p.m. each Monday and is held in the Community Building on the grounds of the library. Mary Zdrowski will be the featured author on May 20. Reservations are appreciated and can be made by visiting the library at 891 Busti Sugar Grove Road or calling the library at 716-487-1281.

Ross Grange To Meet May 13

FALCONER – The Ross Grange will meet at the Falcons Nest on Monday, May 13, with a dish to share lunch at 12:30 p.m. A business meeting will follow. Lecturer Betty Wakefield has arranged a program in recognition of Memorial Day. Those attending should bring their choice of a dish to share. Beverages and place settings will be furnished. All interested are welcome to attend.

Sherman School Board Meeting is Monday

SHERMAN – The Sherman Central School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. MOnday, May 13, for its regular monthly meeting, followed by the annual budget hearing starting at 6 p.m. Both the meeting and budget hearing will be held in-person in the school’s auditorium. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.

Christian Women Gather May 14

RUSSELL, Pa. – The Jamestown-Warren Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners will hold its May luncheon on Tuesday, May 14, at noon at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell, Pa. The spiritual speaker will be Jim Swanson of Warren, speaking on his life experiences, and Christian music guests will be Nate and Sarah Dispenza of Warren.
