Quilters’ Night Out Quilt Show In May

WARREN, Pa. — The Quilters’ Night Out quilt show, ABC’s of Quilting, will be held at Warren Area Elementary Center on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $4 and there is no charge for students.

Fence To Be Installed At Field

RANDOLPH – The Randolph town board unanimously approved the installation of a fence at the athletic field in Weeden Park on Wednesday. The fence is intended to serve as a buffer for youth baseball and soccer teams who regularly practice on the field. In particular, the board approved youth baseball teams to use the designated section of the field. In turn youth soccer teams would use the space designated for the sport. However, soccer teams would be free to use the field after baseball pracitces have ceased.

UPMC Looking For Volunteers

UPMC Chautauqua is in need of two volunteers to work at the information desk. Volunteers there assist visitors by finding room numbers, delivering mail and flowers, and answering the phone. Also, the UPMC Gift Shop needs one volunteer to work as cashier and to help display merchandise. These are both rewarding opportunities. Neothink Meeting To Be Held Mar. 9

The Western New York Neothink Clubhouse is inviting members of society to attend an upcoming introduction meeting being held at the James Prendergast Library on March 9 from 3-4 p.m. There is no charge to attend the meeting. Irish Cake Walk Fundraiser Mar. 15

LAKEWOOD — Brookdale Lakewood will be hosting its annual Luck of the Irish Cake Walk fundraiser on Friday, March 15, at 2 p.m. For a $5 donation to Meals on Wheels, participants will get the opportunity to win cakes and other treats. Outdoor Club Ski Event Sunday

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will host a ski/hike Sunday at Allegheny State Park beginning at 1:30 p.m. Those attending should meet at the Allegheny Red House summit — Art Roscoe trail. Julie Nelson will be the leader. She can be reached at 969-2104.

TEA Party Patriots To Meet Tuesday

LAKEWOOD — The Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots will meet Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion. Guest speaker will be Andrew Liuzzo, Republican candidate for the mayoral race. Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal will be discussed. Members will hear an overview of New York state’s budget shortfall, HRA, Dream Act and gun control. Videos “Leftist or Liberal” with Dennis Prager and “Sophie Scholl” by Dr. Ross Porter will be shown. Meetings are open to the public.
