Rabies Clinic To Be Held Friday

FREWSBURG — The Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Public Health will hold a rabies clinic from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at the Carroll Highway Building, 5 W. Main St., Frewsburg. The clinic is sponsored by the town of Carroll and Dr. Patricia Fales will be the attending veterinarian. Vaccinations will be provided free of charge to all dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets three months of age and older. All pets must be on a leash or in a cage and pet owners should bring rabies vaccination records for each animal that will be receiving a shot to ensure proper and effective vaccination. State Public Health Law requires each dog, cat and domesticated ferret over the age of four months be vaccinated against rabies.

Yoga To Be

Held In Cemetery

A one-hour yoga session will be held in the Wildwood Section of Lake View Cemetery starting at 11 a.m. Saturday. Karen Hansen of Sun Moon Yoga is scheduled to be the instructor. The class is for all levels of experience and all are welcome. Those attending should meet at the cemetery office at 907 Lakeview Ave., bring a yoga mat or beach towel and their own drink bottle. Donations will be accepted and will benefit area food pantries.

Kidder Church To Hold Craft Fair

The Kidder Church at 385 S. Main St. in Jamestown is hosting a vendor and handmade craft fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be available for sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

UMC To Hold Movie Night

FREWSBURG — The Fentonville United Methodist Church, 109 Old Fentonville Road, Frewsburg, will be hosting a free family movie night at 6:30 p.m. Saturday featuring “I Am Not Ashamed.” Free popcorn and drinks will be provided.

Golf Tournament Set For Saturday

IRVING — Pine Valley Memorial VFW Auxiliary 2522 having a golf tournament to benefit the Gold Star Mothers and female homeless veterans. The tournament is held Sept. 22 at Rosebrook Golf Course in Irving. Regsitration starts at noon with golf starting at golf 1 p.m. For more information call 287-3126 or 287-4497.

DNA Workshop Set For Saturday

The Hall House Research Center, 73 Forest Ave., will present a DNA workshop on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $20 for the general public and $10 for members of the Fenton History Center. The workshop is good for those who want to learn more about their DNA and how it can be used in researching a family history. For more information, call 664-6256 and ask for the Hall House.

St. Luke’s To Hold Driving Course

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Jamestown, will sponsor a six-hour, two day AARP Smart Driving class, Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 8 and 9, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required by calling Jack Twinam at 488-1264. The cost is $20 for AARP members; $25 for non-members, payable by check in advance. Upon completion of the class, students are eligible to receive a 10 percent discount on their automobile insurance for a three-year period.
