Putnam Road Opens To Traffic

CHAUTAUQUA — Putnam Road, in the town of Chautauqua, between Westfield-Sherman Road and Nettle Hill Road is now open to traffic.

Crary Art Gallery To Host Exhibit

WARREN — The Crary Art Gallery will host The Pennsylvania Watercolor Society’s 39th annual international juried exhibition opening from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. Awards and introductions start at 3 p.m. The show will be open through Oct. 20. and the gallery is extending exhibit hours to be open, during the show only, to noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, noon to 8 p.m. Friday, noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. The Crary Art Gallery is located at 511 Market St., Warren.

Grape Center To Hold Open House

NORTH EAST, Pa. – The Penn State Lake Erie Regional Grape Research and Extension Center will hold a public open house Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 662 N. Cemetery Road, North East. The applied science and outreach center was founded 66 years ago by Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences to help the region’s grape growers identify, treat and prevent agricultural disease and pest infestation. The center also experiments with new growing strategies, additional grape varietals and potential new fruit crops. Open house visitors are invited to tour the vineyards and learn more about the center’s research efforts.

Child Music Class To Begin Sept. 20

The Children’s Music Studio is accepting registration for its fall music classes for babies/toddlers with their parents. The classes meet once a week at St. Luke’s Church and Luthern/Warner Place. Daughters Of The Revolution Meets

The Jamestown Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the chapter house, 70 Prospect St. Following a brief business meeting, Dr. Gregory Edwards, faculty mentor at Empire State College, will present a program about the United States’ Constitution, which was signed September 17, 1787. Members and prospective members are welcome. Any woman 18 years and older who can prove lineage to a patriot who aided in the American Revolution is eligible for membership. Car Show BBQ Set For Saturday

The annual car show and chicken barbecue will be held Saturday at the Pine Valley Memorial VFW Post 2522 from noon-5 p.m. A donation of $10 is appreciated. Check in for the car show is 11 a.m. For more information, call 287-3126.

MS Rap Group To Meet Saturday

The Chautauqua Region Multiple Sclerosis Rap Group will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the Jones Hill Memorial Health Rehabilitation Center, first floor, 51 Glasgow Ave., Jamestown. The support group is semi-structured and snacks will be served. For more information, call Debbie Lane at 962-9401.
