Country Band To Perform Saturday

“The Rustic Ramblers,” a country music band, will perform at the Busti Gazebo Concert on Saturday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Persons attending should take a comfortable lawn chair. Band members are Howard Buck of Fredonia, lead guitar and vocals; David Bailey of Hartfield, drums and vocals; Jim “Frito”: Lanphere of Fredonia, bass and vocals and Gene Hilts of West Valley, steel guitar. The concert, which is open to the public, is sponsored by the Busti Hamlet Development Association and The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. Tickets for the chicken barbecue fundraiser on July 29 will also be available for purchase. For more information, call Jess Robbins at 664-2060, weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Open House To Be Held Saturday

The Salvation Army, 83 S. Main St., Jamestown will be hosting an open house on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hot dogs and beverages will be provided and a bounce house will be available for kids. All are welcome.

Summer Library Hours Scheduled

The Cherry Creek Library announced its summer library hours. The library is open each Monday from 1-3 p.m. and includes a summer reading program; Tuesdays, 3-5 p.m.; Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 1-5 p.m. and includes a summer reading program; Fridays, 3-5 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon and features a story hour and movies. The movie “Finding Nemo” will be shown from 10:15-11:45 a.m. on Saturday and a story hour will be held July 29 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wi-Fi and computers are available. Falconer Seniors Meet On Monday

Falconer Seniors will meet on Monday at 11:30 a.m. for a boat ride on the “Summer Wind.” Hot dogs and hamburgers will be served on the boat. A special meeting will be held Aug. 28 at noon in the Falconer Community Building. Pizza will be served. Attorney Chuck DeAngelo will speak about the club. Members are urged to attend. Tea Party Group Meets In June

Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots met June 27 at the Lakewood American Legion. Core principles were reviewed. The Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution are two of the greatest statements of human liberty ever written. In the Declaration of Independence, our God-given rights are identified: men are created equal; unalienable rights of Life, Liberty, Property are linked for individual liberty; government derives its power from the consent of the governed. The Preamble to the Constitution establishes the general welfare of the nation: Justice; insure domestic tranquility; provide for the common defense.

Sewer Board

To Meet July 26

MAYVILLE — The North Chautauqua Lake Sewer Board of Directors will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, in the town of Chautauqua meeting room at 2 Academy St. in Mayville. The board will discuss its 2018 tentative budget and review the bid for the phosphorus upgrade project. The public is welcome to attend.
