Celoron Board To Meet Today

CELORON — The Celoron Village Board will meet at 7 p.m. today to seek input on water issues being experienced by some village residents and to discuss possible solutions to the problems. Any village residents experiencing problems with their wells are encouraged to attend.

Music In South Dayton Tonight

SOUTH DAYTON — Music in the South Dayton Village Square Gazebo from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today will be by the Cassadaga Concert Band. Those attending should bring lawn chairs. There will also be hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream available.

Bandshell Series Continues Today

The Jamestown Summer Bandshell Concert series will feature a concert by the Jamestown Municipal Band sponsored by the Scandinavian Studies Program. The concert, directed by Rick Lundquist, will be at 7 p.m., today and feature Swedish music and dancers. The Allen Park Women’s Club also will be selling korv burgers and other refreshments as part of the concert event. The free concert series is held at the Goranson Bandshell in Allen Park. Additional sponsors include: AJ’s Texas Hots, Allen Park Women’s Club, Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, Fessenden, Laumer & DeAngelo; Lind Funeral Home, Local 134, American Federation of Musicians; Scandinavian Studies Program, Salon 1, The Resource Center, The United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County Projects Pool Grant Program, and WCA Hospital. All concerts are free to the public.

Third Saturday Trek Planned

Allegany State Park will host its next “Third Saturday Trek” starting at 10 a.m. Saturday on Bear Paw, one of the park’s newest trails. Summer interns will point out the many interesting things found on the trail. The 2.4-mile hike will last 2 hours. Participants are asked to meet at the Summit Warming Hut at 10 a.m. and to come dressed for the weather. Registration is not required. Transplant Picnic Set For July 18

WARREN, Pa. — Are you a transplant recipient, on the waiting list, lost a loved one prior to or following transplant, or are a donor family? Please join us, bring your loved ones and make valuable contacts within the local transplant community. A picnic meeting is being held on Tuesday, July 18, in the Betts Pavilion at Betts Field in Warren, Pa. Meats will be provided for grilling; bring your own drinks, table settings and a dish to pass. Farmers Market Set For Saturday

South Dayton will host its farmers’ market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the South Dayton Village Square. There will be fresh vegetables, pies, cookies, brownies, jams, pastries, breads, brown eggs and homemade soap. Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program and WIC VF checks accepted.
