To The Reader’s Forum: There is more to the sixth anniversary of the passing (Oct. 18, 2014) of Buffalo’s former Republican State Comptroller Edward V. Regan. He was also a member of the Buffalo Common Council and served as Erie County Executive in the 1970s. It was a time when Republicans could successfully compete with Democrats in Buffalo and statewide including local races within both Erie and Niagara Counties for political office at all levels of government. To The Reader’s Forum: The Presidential Debate held on Sept. 29 was painful and disgusting. Donald Trump repeatedly interrupted Joe Biden trying to speak in his time slot. Several times Moderator Chris Wallace requested that Donald Trump let Joe Biden answer the question asked of him without interference; to no avail. Midway Park Would Be Great Home For Trolley Car

To The Reader’s Forum: Your article about the search for a home for the restored Jamestown Street Railway Trolley Car No. 93 stirred my interest. I believe that Midway State Park would be a very appropriate home for the trolley car. To The Reader’s Forum: With the construction of Cassadaga Wind underway, Cuomo’s $33 billion energy plan for ‘renewables’ continues like a plague across rural western New York. Recently, 30 men from Iron Workers Local 6 and Operating Engineers Local 17 picketed Cassadaga Wind to expose the use of out-of-state workers on the construction sites in Charlotte and Cherry Creek.
